A friend is taking her son to Disney and wanted an autograph album . Open mouth, insert foot.... I'll do that I say!!!! LOL. I did cheat and used some dollar store chipboard in addition to the 2 Disney Mickey cricut cartridges . turned out fine I think . Hope he likes it!!!!!

i altered this liquor store cooler box with Fancy Pants Hot Chocolate line paper and Epiphany Crafts epoxies.I filled it with candy cane hot chocolate,regular hot chocolate,marshmallows,candy cane sticks and bottles of water.Hope you like it!!!!

I never really had my hopes up for making either of the teams but you can't get on if you don't try,right? I loved working with the Jillibean Soup products/papers.Thanks Tracey,Cindy and Heather for hooking me up! This LO is one of my favs!!!!It really helps that the pics are so cute!!!!

I tried out for the Design team at My Little Shoebox but i was not one of the lucky ones chosen.Congrats to the ladies who made the team! I have had the pleasure of meeting Zoe before and have "met" Norine online and feel like i know her personally!!! I couldn't be happier for them. This LO is one of my favs! I love the colours and thanks to Dee Dee for not getting mad at me for using her beautigul daughter's pics!.I have been loving using my Imaginisce I-Rock tool .I purchased it in October and didn't open it til February!!! I sould have cracked it open sooner!!!

This LO features my niece Allie and her new "Friend" having lunch.See my awesome zipper flower? I received a great gift from my secret pal and she had made a super flower for the top of it .... i copied it!!!I wish the LO didn't haveshadows from me scanning such a thick LO.... anyone have any suggestions?

I made this clock out of a painter's canvas! I crocheted the chain for the lanterns.

Tis is my card .I probably should have sent a pic instead of a scan .might have looked better ,

I must say I absolutely loved working with this paper and have to thank CindyS for being so generous!

For the month of december we were asked to make a canvas. After much thought I decided a christmas canvas would be nice. I used alot of distress ink ,glimmer mist and even embossed some snowflakes(can't really see them though).I used alot of stickles and LOVE the way it turned out.I found the set of 9-4"x4" canvas' at the great canadian $$ store.I had been going to use a piece of real canvas but forgot to pick up a piece before i left work .I am glad .The only problem now is how to hang them .I am going to stop at the "M" store to see what a 13.5" square frame will cost me . This month I was given some pretty awesome christmas paper by Crate Paper and was asked to make either cards or an altered item .I chose to make a countdown to christmas calendar.It was the first time I have done one but I love how it turned out ! I used my Bind It All to put it together.My boss claimed it for herself as she collects snowmen and loves to decorate for christmas.I am so glad someone will get to enjoy it! A close up of some of the embellishing........

I was given a paper line by Black River Design,a chipboard album by Ezee Pzee,some rubons,oliebud blossoms and some fibers.I had to design a mini album with a Fall theme. I just couldn't bring myself to make a fall album in the shape of a flower so I chose to do an 8x8 square album and use the flowers to make trees!!!! I cheated a bit and added a little imaginisce and bella blvd PP. Head on over to APOS! and check out the inspiration team gallery to see the awesome albums my teammates created!!!!

neglected my blog!!! and i am sorry. It was a summer that brought minimal vacation time and lots of work time but hopefully i am now back in the swing of scrappy times! As well i started running again september1 so that is taking a bit of my time .i am out 4 or 5 days a week and am happy to say that september brought a weightloss of 19.6 pounds!!!
Other news is i made the APOS! Inspiration for a 6 month term from sept-feb and i am quite excited to be part of this new team!!!

"L" is for linear.Are my pics always straight? Hmm ..I don't think it matters to me if they are or not.....For the most part when I look back I guess I do tend to put them on straight on most of my LO's but it doesn't bother me if they aren't.

I's all about kaleidoscope.When you think of a kaleidoscope you think of colour.For day 14 we were asked to think of what we normally do for colour...are we a kraft kind of girl?do we reach for the brightest and boldest paper? That is an easy question for me to answer...if my picture permits it I LOVE COLOUR!!!!

J is for a taleneted but simple scrapper named Jody Wenke.Totally not my style but I have been following the prompts and decided I would scraplift her even if it is not my normal style.I once took a class from Kathy Thompson Laffoley and the two of them are exactly the same style scrappers. J is for journalling.I really hate to journal!!!! It's not because i don't like my handwriting or anything but because most times I am scrapping pics from family far away and don't know the story behind the photo.I stuggled with this and started the LO about 15 minutes before 12 and it was finished and uploaded by midnight ...UGH!!!!!!

For the 11th day of LOAD we were asked to find inspiration in the gallery. I found a fabulous digi LO by j.o.d.i.e. I put my paper strips and pic too close to the top edge and found the bottom just too plain so i added the paper and the MLBOW hedgehog.I really like the way it turned out.

Day 10 was about using your holiday paper but not for the holiday it was purchased for .I don't really have much holiday paper so I chose to use the clown paper I bought for birthdays and used for some fair pics I had.

Day 9 was all about the letter"G" for grouping. I am not sure if i always group my embellishments and everything together or not but sometimes i do.I just decided to scrap and see where it took me.

I was thinking today would be all about flowers or fabric ...... my disappointment came when i opened the email and saw......... F was for five things!!!!!!! I started out without a plan and it came together rather quickly..... My 5 things might have a few more(shhhh,,,don't tell!!!!) but i am extremely happy with my results!

E is for embellishments.We were asked.... do we make our own or use store bought?.... do we use a little of them or alot of them? ... do we clump them together or spread them apart?

Well my answer is ...i like to make most of my embellishments!!! They can be spread out or clumped together but I usually like to use lots!!!! For my LO i crocheted flowers and beaded a few of the ones printed on the paper .i also stitched the butterfly and flourishes!!!

Today we were asked to lift a LO by Kelli Crowe. I chose one of hers from quite a few years back but i am not too happy with my result.The LO is much too plain for me and i would really like to add something more to it. you can check out her blog post here

Today we were asked to define our distressing style.I love my mists and also my distress ink.I also decided to sloppy write with my sharpie!!! This LO took me only about 20 minutes!!I think that is my quickest LO ever!!!!

"C" is for cardstock.Today we were asked to use cardstock only and one other item for embellishment but no patterned paper.We were also allowed to use stamps to do our title.I scrapped this LO in 8x8 so I had no room for a title.I chose to use beads as my other item but then had to use thread to sew them on.I spent the day in Moncton shopping and watching a few games of men's provincial bowling and got in rather late so i had to keep it simple.

Today is all about the letter "B".Brads and buttons that is.We were asked to think about how we usually use buttons and brads on our LO's .After very little thought i could easily answer this with ....as flower centers or as a filler with 3 lined up in a row.Very rarely do i randomly put them on.

Well ....today's challenge was "A" for adjectives.We were asked to define our scrappy style using 3 adjectives in our title.With my sense of humour I did a bit of a play on words....Triple"d" and used a pic of me.I chose the words..Distinctive,Different and difficult which describes both me and my scrappy style.

Today is the first day of layout a day(LOAD).It is due by midnight and i have over an hour to spare!!!!! The month will be spent scrapping to "define our style".Today we were asked to scrap what we love how we love to scrap.I chose to stitch on my LO but used the sewing machine as opposed to handstitching due to time constraints.

Today is National Scrapbooking Day.Happy Scrapping to everyone attending crops!!!!! I am heading to work so no cropping for me today.I will however have to scrap tonight.I signed up for LOAD(layout a day) for the month of may!!!! I sure hope i can do it.So look forward to seeing alot more blog posts this month!!! I put my back out 15 days ago so the scrapping has pretty much been non existant.It is starting to feel a bit better so let's hope that is a good sign and keeps getting better.

I was given MME Lush in a fabulous shade of green to work with this month.I also recieved chipboard letters and a ribbon pack to match.I chose to pair the paper up with different shade of pink CS.To tie it all together i chose a lovely new piece of PP by 3 bugs with princesses on it for my cover .We were asked to design an album but to not use a traditional prefab one .I chose to do a mixed media one in which i used chipboard cut to different shapes with the cricut,an envelope with a flat card insert,unbleached cotton sandwiched with batting to create a quilted effect and a plastic dollar store cutting matt.I put it all together with my new Zutter Bind It All!!!

We have a supervisor at head office retiring so I made 3 cards.One my district manager asked me to make for her to give .It is the elegant silver/black one.One was made for my manager to give .it is the one with the flowers on it.The card that has the #82 on it is from the staff at the store .It is our store #.

Boxing day found me working on a set of 14 cards.I had so much fun with these ..not my usual style but I am pretty happy with them.
The set of 2 cards I made using leftover scraps from my paper bag album.This year I have made a resolution to use some of my scraps by making at least one card with the scaps leftover from my LO's right after I make the LO!!!
New Year's Eve I started my paper bag calendar which I finished on Jan 1st,It took me alot longer than I anticipated but I am super happy with my results!!!

I must admit I have never before been paid to scrapbook a LO!!! So it was a big surprise when my district manager asked me to create a LO for her to give to her mom for christmas, then gave me carte blanche to do whatever i felt like .The only stipulation ...all 5 pics had to be on the same page!!!I had to do alot of thinking but was pleased with the final result.My district manager must have been too..she paid me 40$ for it!!!!sorry the pic isn't as clear as i'd like but i took it in the frame.

My turn to post a product challenge at APOS! What to do that hasn't been done?........GLITTER!!! BIG MISTAKE!! I still have red glitter everywhere!I just don't get along with messy product but since i own it I might as well use it.I did the ring around me with glue and glitter on CS then put glossy accents to ensure it stayed on !!! A co-worker had jokingly called me head grinch and I remembered I had grinch paper!!!!

The month of november I hosted a LO photoswap where the girls scrapped someone else's picture .The completed LO will be given to the owner of the pic.They all did a fabulous job and everyone will be lucky to receive such a great LO .I scrapped a pic belonging to funnygal .it was a picture of her daughter and the only journalling given to me was ...a pic of my daughter Sarah taken at a friends wedding this summer .I have never scrapped a sepia pic before bit I do love my results.I totally scraplifted a LO by tinamcd on LCOM.

The month of December has been a very busy one for me and i just haven't been keeping up with my blog or even my scrapping. For APOS! design team I was given christmas paper from Fancy pants and asked to create cards/tags .Cards are definately not my forte and this paper absolutely freaked me out!!!When it got down to the wire and it came time to reveal i had to jump right in to complete a few .i don't mind the results .I sure admire those who can create beautiful cards .They sure take talent!!!

November embellishment challenge!!!

November has me issuing an embellishment challenge at APOS!I racked my brain and just couldn't decide!Someone suggested I use keys!!!KEYS!!!Of all the things!! I just loved using keys as they were so appropriate for me!!!! My LO says it all!I'd like to see everyone use keys on their LO but these keys need to be altered!!! I heat embossed mine yellow and orange as well as using keys as a mask!!!! Be sure to check out the rest of the APOS! DT Challenges issued nov2!!!

October brought an unusual twist for the design team at APOS!We got to chose which paper line we would work with.I had alot of trouble making a decision so at GHL i enlisted the help of a certain penguin and she picked the awesomest paper for me!!!! i had already purchased lots so i knew i like it!!!! I ended up with the Super Stud line from Bella Blvd.Be sure to check out the other DT'S lo'S!!! THEY ALL DID A FANTASTIC JOB!!!!

It was a hectic week last week .My husband had the week off and we had contractors in and out replacing the bathroom ceiling.We now have a new fan ,a smooth ceiling and a fantastic new light .I wish i liked the paint colour but after trying a few different ones this is the one i am stuck with .
I was supposed to issue my "All about me challenge" at APOS! on oct 22 but just couldn't get it completed in time .Alissa was very good to me in giving me a few extra days and i mananged to post it oct 24th. my challenge was ...Everyone always scraps the good things in life but we always remember the bad.so go ahead ladies and scrap a not so happy moment!!!!

All About Me Challenge

Today was my day at APOS! to post an All About Me challenge.I decided to challenge everyone to scrap about a quirk of theirs.Some people might never leave the house without makeup on,some might always paint their nails,some might always wear matching underwear.
My LO tells it all.....I prefer my food not to touch!!!!!

For September we were given bo bunny calypso paper and an invisible by heidi swapp..We were given instructions to not do any 12x12 layouts!!! Quite a challenge but after much thought i chose to do 6x12 and also a round one!!!I had alot of fun with the 6x12 but found that they were not my typical style but rather fun instead of complex!!!Be sure to check out the rest of the design team's lovely creations!!!

I participated in the scrapbuilders challenge for september at APOS!.I used the cutest pics of Brayden that my mom had posted on her facebook which i stole immediately!!To think that Brayden is only a year and a half old and knows where the keys go ,can play with the radio ,start the wipers and everything!!! It's kind of scary .Thank goodness he can't reach the gas or the brake or he might just try to put the car in gear!!!!!

We had an online crop at APOS! the weekend of sept 11-12 with the challenges to be completed by sept 13th.The theme was school yard games in honour of back to school.My challenge was "Let's play hopscotch".To play hopscotch is to use the #1 through 9 ,the word HOME and since it is played using a rock I wanted to see some bling!!!! It was a work weekend for me so I didn't really get to play along but did manage to create a LO for hopscotch .Not one of my best!!! Thank you to all the DT who posted great challenges and to all the forum members who took time out of their busy lives to play!!! you all rocked the challenges!!!!

This was a fun LO i did rather quickly and i love the way it turned out...the whimsey button,the handmade flower it sits on,the clear swirl decorated with dimensional paint and stickles and of course my beading made this so much fun to do!!!!

This LO i did for the CS grey call.Apparently they weren't as enthused with it as i was!!! They didn't pick it up!!!!

I Started the birthday LO by stitching the clown back in march at a crop in Greenhill lake!!!!I finally got around to finishing it and I must say i absolutely love it!!!!

ok ladies ...my challenge to you this week is to find a beautiful outdoor pic to inspire you but there is a catch ...don't scrap that pic!!! it is for inspiration only!!!! i chose a lovely pic of fall leaves to inspire me . you could choose a pic of the horizon for a linear LO or even architecture to inspire you !!!!!

Have you ever had a time when your scrappy mojo just appeared and you didn't want to stop? I must admit that the last few weeks I have been a scrappy machine!!! The best part of it all is i am loving each and every LO that is getting done !! What a rarity!!! Most times i have a love /hate relationship with my scrapping .Today i took the time to design 2 sketches ..I have never even attempted to do that before ..usually I just scrap or look at someone else's sketches for inspiration!!!!
I will share a new challenge on tuesday with one of my new LO's!!!!

Yesterday I decided to do a LO and thought about the wonderful sketch I had seen earlier on the page maps blog .It called for a summer theme so I chose to do a pic from my niece's wedding.It took place last August 23rd and I am just getting around to scrapping a few pages .I absolutely love how this turned out!!!!!I spent about 8 hours stitching and beading this one.

Inspiration Challenge!!

Today was my day to issue an inspiration challenge to the girls at APOS!I chose to have them use a memory as an inspiration.There are lots of moments that get missed because we don't have our cameras handy or in my case a mishap at the store where a clerk erased my card and sold me a blank cd!!!!All i was left with was the memory and no pics !!I have never cross stitched on a LO before .I am not a cross stitcher and had to borrow a few books from a co worker but i do love the way it turned out !! I will definately do it more often!!! Be sure to check out jerusha's and valerie's challenges issued today !!!!

My journalling reads...mom,gary and i set out for bangor on october 6 2007.as we were driving down the airline i saw the strangest large birds to which i exclaimed ..what the heck are they? mom thought that was funny.i am such a city chick..i had never seen a wild turkey before!!! let alone a batch of them on the side of the road.gary turned the car around so i could get pics.i chased them through someone's yard and got a few pics.i got them put on cd at shoppers but the clerk sold me a blank cd and wiped out my camera card so all i am left with is the memory of seeing wild turkeys on the side of the road!!!!

i created this one for a scrapbuilders challenge .i am not really happy with it but we can't love them all. i do however want to remember the cakes !! i enjoyed making cinderella for Emily's 3rd birthday and then i made Ariel for her fourth birthday .i am not really a cake decorator but i was coerced into making dora for her 2nd birthday(what great auntie can say no to a 2 year old?) i just love the floral pin by My Little Bit of Whimsey!!!Stephanie makes the cutest buttons!!!

I had a bit of a hard time stitching the flamingoos.They are not as easy as most of the stitching patterns are .I just love my results !!!

APOS DT Reveal for July!!!

I am so excited to share my first DT creations!! I must admit when i first got my kit i absolutely hated the paper .It was so not my style .But since i was forced to use it i spent a few weeks just looking at it then i thought ...WTH ..it has to get done sooner or later!

I did the first cut to the blue piece that looked to me like it had butterflies on it if i cut them out .so that is just what i did!! I added $store bling and glossy accents ,a few straight pins ..and voila!...butterflies!!!! I used glimmer mist for the first time as well and my page curled and warped so i had to trim it and sew it to CS .i love it !!! hope you all do too!

My 2nd page took me to a simple 8x8 LO of my niece's wedding .i used the bazzil in stitches template for the butterfly .i also used the crafters workshop template with smooch ink and glossy accents for the heart.

My 3rd LO i again used the glimmer mist ..i love how this antiques the paper but leaves a shimmer as well.it is the 1st time i have ever torn my paper ..so stressful!!! the flowers are riff raff with a bit of ink.i love the dragonfly .it is on the new cricut cartridge "home decor".

My project is a purse bag from kaiser krafts that i enlarged .it is quite cute!!!

So my second challenge as a member of APOS! DT has come around .i chose the challenge of creating a card made out of something unusual ...not CS or PP!!! i made my card out of cardboard!!!!i gave another sample of one i made awhile back using a dollar store cutting matt!!!hope you play along!!!

This morning i decided to play around and try a digi sketch...after a few hours i finally got to at least look like a sketch!!!! i am working on a LO for the CS grey call and need a title .since i can't share the LO i was forced to try a sketch .makes me want to try a better program!!!!

So today i got to issue my first challenge as part of the design team at APOS!!!! For those of you that know me my first challenge won't come as much of a surprise!!! All i ask is that you stitch on your card !!! You can be as intricate as you like or something as simple as drawing your stitching on with a pen!!!

For my first card i tried the Bazzil in stitches templates and i must tell you i absolutely love them!!! They reminded me of learning to sew with yarn in paper with holes punched!!!! i love the way it turned out!!!!

The second card is a carraige card stitched with a pattern available at stitchingcards.com.The butterfly card is made with a freebie pattern from the same site.I hope you all play along!!!

Oh My Crafts!

OK....So this past weekend Oh My Crafts! had a challenge on their facebook page to email in your favourite flower LO. I thought WTH!!!! I sent in the grad LO from my DT submission .I didn't win but they posted 7 non winning LO's in their photo winners section .....and guess what ...... mine was one of them !!!!!I am so excited !! What a boost to my ego!!!!! I know it wasn't a winner but think of all the people who don't know me and who have never seen my work who might just see this LO!!!! That possibility thrills me to no end !!!! Okay ..I am babbling !!! Thanks for listening!!!!!

So it is official ....I MADE THE DESIGN TEAM ..and i couldn't be happier!!!!!!We had to provde 3 LO's /cards that are our favorites as well as creating a new LO based on a sketch by the talented Cory-Lyn.I agonized for a few weeks to find the right pictures to go with the sketch and finally chose to do my niece's prom pics .they were the wrong orientation so i had to flip the sketch .!I can't wait to see what the first DT challenge brings us .....

So tonight is the night of the big reveal for the design team at APOS!!! I am so excited to see who makes it !! I spent 3 evenings stitching and beading finally finished my submission up last night and sent it off!!! I am super pleased with my results and sure hope the decision makers are just as happy with it as I am!!! Stay tuned for the results....

Last weekend i participated in a blind scrap online at A Pile Of Scrap.It is a challenge where LO instructions are posted throughout a 24 hour period.At the end of the day you have a completed LO.I am pleased with the results!!!

for the past 2 tuesday nights ,i have went to fredericton to take a mini "get to know your camera class".Sandie did an amazing job explaining things,even providing handouts!!!

the 1 st week on the way home ,i saw 5 moose and 3 deer.i stopped for pics the first week and panic mode set in !!what settings to use ..what changes the +/- for lighter pics?i got some absolutely terrible pics!!!! the good news is after last night's class i got to see another moose !! put the camera in p mode and changed the amount of light and got a much better pic!! far from great but at least i can now try to shoot in other modes than auto!!!!

last night i had the most amazing woman help create my blog..actually i did very little !!!thanks to her i will be able to share alot of my creaions!!!!

last saturday i went to an 8 hour crop and got a LO done!!! kind of amazing for me ..i pack too much ,talk too much and scrap very little!!! however,isn't the friendships what scrapbooking's all about?...the joys of sharing one's memories and for making new ones!!!
